Wealthsimple Review

What is Wealthsimple & how does it work?

Robo Advisor Wealthsimple provides world-class, long-term investment management without the high fees and account minimums associated with traditional investment managers. Wealthsimple invests your money in a globally diversified portfolio of low-cost index funds modeled after the same Nobel Prize-winning research used by the world’s savviest investors.

Wealthsimple's cutting-edge technology helps you earn the best possible return on your money, while also lowering your tax bill. This means they do things like automatic re-balancing, dividend reinvesting, and tax loss harvesting—services that most people couldn’t afford until now or found too time-consuming and tedious to do on their own.

Wealthsimple provides financial advisers that are always available when you need them. They can help plan your financial milestones and answer questions you might have about potential risks or what sort of investment accounts you should have.

Wealthfront Summary
Like other Robo Advisors, Wealthsimple provides automated technology that allows its users to “invest on autopilot.” That is, users provide data about their financial situation and their risk tolerance, and Wealthsimple creates a personalized, low-cost and diversified portfolio which it can later re balance as needed.

But while other so-called robo advisors are focused on courting the high end of the market, Wealthsimple is trying to provide the same types of tools and advice to all users, regardless of their financial situation.

Wealthsimple requires no minimum amount to open an account and charges a 0.5% fee for all assets under management. It also doesn’t charge any trading, account transferring or re balancing fees.
